Korkeuseroa parkkipaikalta kätkölle on yli 100 metriä joka on hyväkuntoista polkua. Kävelymatka parkkialueelta kätkölle on n. 1,5km. Kätkö on löydettävissä myös talvisin.
Highlevel from parking area to cache is over 100 meter and this trail is easy to walk. Distance from parkingarea to cache is about 1,5 km.
Korouoma on noin 30 kilometriä pitkä luode-kaakkosuuntainen ruhjelaakso Posion ja Ranuan kuntien rajalla. Se on osa satoja miljoonia vuosia vanhaa kallioperän ruhjevyöhykettä.Korouoman keskiosassa ruhjelaakso muodostaa ympäröivän maaston alapuolelle kuluneen kanjonin, joka on syvimmillään 100 - 130 m. Sen seinämät ovat jyrkkiä ja paikoin pystysuoria, useita kymmeniä metrejä korkeita kalliojyrkänteitä, jotka kohoavat laakson molemmilla reunoilla. Kanjonin pohja on tasainen ja sen leveys on noin 200 - 500 metriä. Jos pidät jääkiipeilystä, tämä on talvisin Suomen paras paikka siihen.
Tarvittaessa kätköä huoltavat paikalliset kätköilijät Knea ja Rometku.
Korouoma is a fracture valley some 30 kilometres long, running from northwest to southeast on the border of the municipalities Posio and Ranua. It is part of a bedrock fracture zone. In the central part of Korouoma, the fracture valley forms a gorge below the level of the surrounding terrain. Its slopes are steep, and in places the sheer rock walls rise straight up to a height of several dozen metres. In winter the small streams rushing down from the cliffs freeze into ice falls that remain frozen until late spring.
The maintain of cache are promised to local cachers Knea and Rometku when needed.
