GatoRx: This is a sad day for a famous (some may say infamous) Westside landmark. Redneck Riviera has been deemed a construction site, and now has tall chain link fence up all around its perimeter, with no trespassing signs all over the place, and is (supposedly) being monitored by closed circuit television. There has apparently been a lot of resistance, judging by the fences torn down from both the road and the river, but an institution has seemingly come to an end so someone with oodles of cash and no sense of history can build a house here. At least those of us who have made trips there still have memories of the place...
The cache's hiding spot was outside of the fence, but we didn't want cachers getting any trouble from construction crews, police, or future residents, so we pulled it tonight. Thanks to all who found this one, and had a chance to enjoy this great little spot way up the Ortega River.
