This cache has been established as a starting point for travel bug races (although cache items are also included for swapping). Cache is an ammo box & is located just off the trail system of Northampton Park. Very little bushwacking should be required and is located just off a main hiking trail. NOTE - Many cachers have commented the approach can make this a difficult find. If you approach from the Colby Rd entrance it should be relatively easy...otherwise you might be crossing a creek.

UPDATE (3/31/23) - Since my last visit (long ago), the county park has decided to establish a new trail which traverses fairly close to the cache location making it easier to hike to. Therefore, I am lowering the Difficulty and Terrain rating slightly. PLEASE hide the cache well since it can be quite visible by passersby. Thank you. New log book placed for future use and a TB also placed.

It's Post time! Located just off some nice hiking trails, this cache contains nine (9) travel bug monkeys for the first visitors to the site (please, one per customer). These travel bugs are racing to accumulate as many miles as possible and this is their starting line. If you take a monkey, We'd appreciate a photo (camera enclosed in cache) of the monkey you chose with your group. Please place an entry in the log book as to which monkey you took. -Thanks
We also included some nice trinkets to trade if the monkeys have left the starting gate.
