Geocache Description:

You are looking for an OD green ammocan. Park is fairly level, next to the Broadway overpass.

The container was loaded with prizes for the kids, might even be one or two for the adults in there. Lum Felton was a city park employee for 20 years, after his retirement the city changed the name of this park in his honor. The park is almost always empty. Kind of a shame too, it is easy to get to and has a couple of picnic tables. The Railroads pass under Broadway just north of here.I am sure this was a busy place when people packed food to eat on vacation. Before the overpass, this would have been a perfect place to have a picnic and wait for the rails to clear. It is just south about a mile from the intersection of Old US 40 and Old US 81. This was the US 81 Bypass around Salina at one time, now it has turned into restaurant row. This is a fairly easy roadside cache, a few spiders, poison ivy nearby, but not necessary to deal with to find the cache. Like always, happy caching! The FTF has a treat waiting for them from the good folks at Ground Speak. Please send me the name and number so I can track it.
