locals to enjoy.






Hemlock Falls

Gatlinburg, Tennessee


This is a quaint little falls located within a short driving distance of Gatlinburg proper.

Located in amongst an area of rental cabins and chalets, Hemlock Falls provides a great little area for a picnic lunch or just the plain relaxational sounds and beauty of a picturesque natural enhanced waterfall.

You are hunting for a camouflaged ammunition box located very near Hemlock Falls.
Hemlock Falls may be reached from either of two directions...one from the Cartertown area, the other from the Glades area.

Most, it is believed, would prefer traveling through a portion of the arts and crafts community of the Glades. To accomplish this you head south on East Parkway (US 321) out of downtown Gatlinburg and turn left on Glades Road. Continue to the caution lights at Powdermill Road and make a left. Shortly after traveling on Powdermill Road you will take a left on Johns Branch road. Continue on Johns Branch road until you reach the sign for the entrance to Hemlock Falls Cabins, turn right and enter.

Follow sign(s) that will take you to the falls and your suggested parking co-ordinates in the area of
N 35° 44.873 X W 083° 28.824.
Please do not block driveways to cabins!

The nearby tree posted sign with directional arrow indicating the "Hemlock Falls vista" may be some what deceptive and send you in a bushwacking direction. Follow your ears and your gpsr and you should have no problem reaching the falls without any bushwacking.

Again this cache is a camo ammo box with a log book and various goodies. Please remember the exact place and position you retrieve the cache so as to return it in the same manner!
The co-ordinate accuracy is within only 26ft due to surrounding terrain and tree cover.
