Ancient Indian petroglyphs (rock carvings and writings).
This is the Sanilac Indian Petroglyphs. These petroglyphs are very old and hidden around this large area. The walking trail is a little over a mile. There is a very large petroglyph right after you start walking in. This place is right in the middle of the thumb near Ubly but not near anything else. It's at Germania and Forrestville roads. I urge you to walk the entire trail, it's awesome. Cache is about 1/2 through along a bend in the creek and near some rock formations. It's free, hardly anyone ever goes there, but it's a great hike, trust me. Cache itself is a Claussen pickle jar.
