Geocache Description:

Take the Dennis Cove Road out of Hampton, TN. You may park at N 36.15.546 W 082.06.902 (the left side of the road). There is room for one vehicle. More vehicles can park about .25 down the road. This spot is so beautiful that we had to place a cache here. The half mile hike is at times steep and narrow but worth it. You will be hiking to the 60 foot Coon Den Falls. Take your camera.

You will be hiking CNF trail 37. It starts out moderate but there are two spots where you have to go up and over some flat damp rocks. At times the trail is narrow with a sharp drop off to the left and into the stream. It is not dangerous but you need to watch your step. We love kids, especially our grandkids, but I would not take a child under five up this trail.

Near the falls, there is a fallen tree which blocks the trail. Just before the double blue blaze, go right and up and around the tree and then back left to the trail. You are about there. The cache is now a camo painted, large lock-n-lock.. You shouldn't see a lot of people here but use stealth and replace exactly as you found it.

We try to make all of our caches "kid friendly" and please don't feel that this hike is overly difficult but is too tricky for toddlers. Marge and I hiked this trail several years ago and forgot where it was. We took a lot of pictures then and with a little internet detective work we found it and want to share it with you.
