Geocache Description:

A Walk in the Park (#25)

Introduction

 = = = = = = = = = =  The Travel Agent Version  = = = = = = = = = =

This hunt will lead you down a wide variety of trails and lack there off.  The walk will be a pleasant one in the shade most of the way.  This search will lead your through several parts of Don Castro Park.  From the Bus Stop to a special grove of trees, to the upper picnic area and down to the creek, across the San Lorenzo Creek and up toward Five Canyons.  This is a really nice open trail and a mostly shaded walk.

Location Info

This cache is a multi-puzzle cache.  You must follow the instructions given here to get to the cache.

#1 - The posted coordinates take you to the parking lot at a picnic table.  Sit down and take a rest - you should be close to a bus stop - record the bus route number on that bus stop.

#2 - Your next stop is a .13 mile bearing.  Bearing = (Bus route number) - 23*. (magnetic north) bus route may be changed or covered - Bus Route = 95

#3 - When you arrive at the above location you should find a large plaque.  Take a rest in the shade of these beautiful trees and record the date on this plaque.

#4 - Your next stop is calculated using the date from the plaque.  North = 41.(first 3 digits of date - 50)  --  West = 02.(last three digits of date - 196)

#5 - The above coordinates take you to a man made device.  On this device is a manufacturers label. Record the information on this label.

#6 - You next stop is calculated using the information on the above label.  North = 41.(phone prefix+286) West = 02.(area code + 2 digits of load limit-192)

#7 - The above coordinate calculation should take you directly to the cache.
