This microcache is 1 of 5 in a series that encompass the route taken by Louisville's monthly Gallery Hop. The event's web site says the following:
"The Transit Authority of River City (TARC) and Louisville's downtown galleries invite you to visit the community's Art Zone, a concentrated area where visual arts are flourishing. Hop on a free TARC trolley the first Friday of every month from 5 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and take a ride along the Main, Market Street, and 4th Street corridors. You'll visit participating galleries and be their guest for artist openings, refreshments, and special late night hours until 9 p.m."
This cache is at the west end of the Gallery Hop, on 10th Street between Main and Market, near The Famous E&S Gallery.
Of course, you can search for these caches any time, not just on the first Friday of the month. The caches are in urban spaces, but I've tried to put them in locations that you can access without drawing attention. The series is also ideal for evening hunting.
Due to the tall canyons of buildings, the coordinates aren't as exact as I'd like. For this reasons, and to enable to you to be inconspicuous at busy times, the clues will lead you directly to the cache locations.
These are microcaches: waterproof match containers, partially wrapped in camouflage tape, containing a log. Please bring a pen. Please also be sure you put the caches back exactly where you found them.
