Geocache Description:

Salkehatchie Presbyterian Church

This was formerly the site of a presbyterian church orgainized in 1766, by the Reverend Archibald Simpson, minister from Scotland. The church was incorperated on Dec. 17, 1808. Serving the church were the Reverend Simpson, Edward Palmer, and J.B. Van Dyck. In the cemetary are the graves of early Scotch-Irish settlers.

The posted coordinates will lead you to the gate of the cemetary. Locate the final resting place of Mary Maher. Within a few feet of that you will find an obvious hiding spot for this geocache that isn't disrespectful or inappropriate. Please keep that in mind while searching for the cache and help preserve this relic of South Carolina History.
