The location of this cache is not represented by the location above.

This cache is a 1L lock & lock plastic container, located in the Cotgrave Country park on the outskirts of Nottingham on the Grantham canal. The site is part of the former Cotgrave Colliery which was part of the local coal mining scene.The site was regenerated in the year 2000 after the pit finally closed in 1991 & now is a beautiful spot to walk, run & fish on the canal.

To complete the cache go to the above co-ordinates, you will find a plaque giving a lock number and a restoration month. Using this information complete the following calculation to find the cache.

A = The restoration months sequential number e.g. Jan=1 Feb=2 Mar=3 etc…Take that month & subtract 2

B = The lock number on the plaque minus 5

Good luck on the hunt, the cache can be very busy, so bringing a spotter might be advantageous, to make sure no muggles spot you, you may need to move from the location, the cache is in to investigate it due to it’s size, unless you are fantastic at looking inconspicuous.
