Chambers Memorial Park is located in West Lebanon, NH, in a small residential area off of Route 10 right below Hanover. At blinking light turn onto Wyeth Road (west), left onto Chambers Rd. right on Faraway Lane. Entrance to trail on left side of road at metal gate. Trails are compacted leaf matter over soil. One leading section of the trail is quite steep. This park is conservation land and closes at sunset. Parking on Faraway Lane is restricted: no parking from 8 PM to 8 AM.
Trail in from Faraway Lane entrance passes a remnant pond on right that was once part of the Glacial Lake Hitchcock that covered much of the Connecticut River Valley 10,000 years ago. Entrance trail opens onto a small meadow. Meadow has two trails off of it. Take nearest to start with. Note a sign on trail for Memorial Plaque. Trail closest to the Connecticut River is steep toward top of trail. First cache is an ammo box with log and pen/pencil, flashlight on key chain, Hair scrunchies, emergency whistle, hand warmers, light stick, cream for cracked skin, various trinkets for children, two AA batteries and more. Read the log in the cache for hint and coordinates to second MINI cache. Minicache gives information about third cache of regular size which is off trail.
