Greetings,

It has been a while since I first looked at this cache. I can't find any recent responses about maintaining this cache so for the time being it will be archived and removed from the active cache listings. We are no longer leaving caches stay disabled for extended periods of time.

Groundspeak and the geocaching community appreciate your contributions to geocaching and I hope to see this cache back in operation soon.

If you can get it back up and running in the next week or so contact me to get it re-listed. Otherwise plan to move it slightly and set up a new cache page.

[green]Most problems can be solved with good communication so reply back to the reviewer and we will do everything possible within the guidelines to get your cache published. It is best to give me as much information as possible instead of saying nothing at all. This will speed up the process and we can get your cache published. [/green]

Geocache Description:

This cache can be done at night, and can even be done when the iron gate is closed.

As you approach, try to imagine dozens of Victorian mansions lining Locust Street. This was the predecessor of premier St. Louis neighborhoods like Portland Place or Westmoreland Place. It was called Lucas Place, and this cache is located on the property of the last remaining Lucas Place home.

The building and the family who lived here has a fascinating history, and tours of the home are available for a small feeWednesdays through Sundays. See www.campbellhousemuseum.org for more details. The Terra Cotta lofts and the Printer's Lofts are new developments right across the street. This doesn't take much walking at all--bring some change for the parking meters if you think you'll be here awhile, and bring a pen since one won't fit in the cache.

Please be sure to replace cache where it's supposed to be when you're done.
