Geocache Description:

NOTE: DO NOT PICK THE CACHE UP...IT HAS A LID...IF YOU PICK IT UP WATER GETS IN. NO NEED TO PICK THE CAHCE UP. It has become a tradition that after a major geocaching event in Oklahoma for one cache to be left behind as a reminder of all the fun that was had at the event.

This cache was chosen as the favorite cache in the hide and seek competition and was durable enough to be left behind. It was called "Not a Needle in a Haystack" because it was our goal to hide a fairly large container (over half a gallon) in a relatively open spot.

This cache is only about a 300' walk down the equestrian trail from a large parking lot. Because of the rockiness of the trail we could not rate the terrain less than Two Stars but it is an easy walk with very little change in elevation. The original contents of the cache were items that a geocacher may need for their day of hunting (small notebooks, batteries, band aids, pencils, antiseptic wipes, etc.).

If you feel up to a more challenging walk leave your car parked in the lot and head up to where Jaberjah hid the second place cache. She didn't leave the cache but the view is great. The climb is fairly short and difficult but the view will be worth it. If no one beats us to it we will probably hide a cache up there someday. N34*59.490 W 95*21.536

More importantly than the cache itself, everyone should check out the stories of the event by reading the archived logs filed for the "2004 Fall Fest" GCJT7Y, "Test Your Skills" GCJVY7, "Hide and Seek" GCJTY3, and "Rowdy Billy and Slim Face Lilly" GCJZ6D.
