Lake Murray is one of the SC Midlands’ finest recreational
assets. The lake covers an area of 78 square miles or about 50,000
acres of land. It is 41 miles long and 14 miles at its widest
point. There are 520 miles of shoreline, which is more shoreline
than the entire Atlantic coastline of South Carolina. Lake Murray
is also famous for its striped bass program. The record striped
bass caught in Lake Murray weighed in at 53 pounds. Beware the
pesca-muggles.
The coordinates will take you to the cache, which is a mini.
There is a log book and room enough for small trade items, but you
will have to bring your own scribing implement. If you forget a
writing utensil, email me a description of the cache as
verification. Please make sure that you close the container in a
secure manner. Bark like a big dog when you find it. Please cover
it back up. There is considerable tree cover so your coordinates
may vary.
I took some trash out with me, and I encourage you to practice
CITO as well. Unfortunately, there is plenty of opportunity
here.
I also encourage you to click the logo below to check out the
SCGA.
