Geocache Description:

In the Atacama region, on the way to the Tatio Geysers you take a tour with guides, or rent va Pic up 4x4.

Take some good trecking boots and a sweater, as it is very fresh, even if the sun shines bright. The landscape seems brought from mars. The cache is hidden after the cuesta del diablo on a little hill. You need to go with a tour (many here)or by Pic Up (4x4 in preference), as walking would be too long and mountainbiking (for rent in San Pedro de Atacama) too heavy, as the cache is hidden 4131 m over sea level and the sand road dusty.
Park the car on what is looking like a parking place and take it slowly. Air is thin up here. Climb the hill and go to the highest rocks. There are some 3 of them. One is shattered on the top and has a gap. The logbook and five dice are in a zip bag. Look twice, as you cannot see inside the gap unless you get close to it.

You should try the Geysers of Tatio after finding the cache. This coordenate is for an active geyser that showed me a nice eruption. I called him XXL: 22deg 19.921S / 068deg 00.781W. On the way back take the deviation to Machuca: 22deg 35.855S 068deg 03.838W It is a cute little village that rents rooms for some 7000 pesos Cl. I loved it, but couldn't stay because my hotel was in San Pedro de Atacama. When you stay they do give you some Lama meat you can prepare in a kitchen (must be a stove...), as they do not have a restaurant. Maybe it woud be smart to bring some cookies or so...Anyway, the little church is beautiful and on sunset enchanting. Way back to San Pedro is about 40 km through a rock landscape. Incredible!!!

Well, have fun and luck finding the cache.
