Let it Hang (2 Stage Cache) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Roadster: Seems to be MIA! I will archive it since I do not have time to replace it. It was a good cache while it lasted. I hope people will still go visit the lake and enjoy their time there.

Geocache Description:

Located by the "Bob Kidd Lake"

May or may not be accessible depending on abilitiesBicycles permitted (or suggested)Leashed dogs are welcome500 ft. to 800 ft. from car to cache

IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO BRING A PENCIL or PEN

I changed this cache into a multi stage cache, it now has two parts with the first stage being a micro and the second and final stage being a rubber-made plastic water jug. Geocaching.com won't allow the change of the "type" of cache so it will always read that it's an regular and not a multi.

Bob Kidd Lake was named after a former slave.

Bob was brought to the area in the 1830s by Tandy Kidd, who operated a mill and had extensive land holdings in the Lincoln area west of Prairie Grove. Tandy Kidd was murdered in 1862, the same year as the Civil War battle was fought in and around Prairie Grove. Bob Kidd was freed, worked hard, saved his money and bought waste land in the Prairie Grove area.

Bob Kidd was the father of several children and was especially well known as an entertainer. He was a fiddle player and a dancer. He died in 1924 and is buried at Lincoln.

The lake was built in 1975 it is a 200 acre lake.

The first stage is a micro and is located at the park before you get to the "Bob Kidd Lake". It is kept mowed but not the best upkeep in the world. It does have cement park benches for a picnic. Also the lake from what I'm told is a great place to fish, you can do it from the shore or take a boat.

DO NOT PARK ON THE ROAD LEADING TO THE LAKE!!!
You are not allowed to park on the road leading down to the lake, please park in the "Park" and walk to the cache, it is a short distance. Please watch out for the sticker bushes and do not step on the cactus'.

For the second stage you can drive to it, it's about 1/4 mile down the road from the first stage, there is a place to park that is real close to the cache.

The contents of the final (2nd) stage is:
Pontiac Key Chain
Altoids Tangerine Sours
Winchester Mini Fishing Tool 12 Function Stainless Steel
GPS food
A 4 pack of new 9-Volt batteries
Everything is brand new still in the packages.

Enjoy the fun.

I have permission for this cache as I do for all my caches
