The coordinates above are near one of the entrances of an Amsterdam public building, near a lot of tourist hot spots.
Here is another hot spot:
Go to the entrance at the given coordinates and go inside.
The building should be open from 7am -11.30pm. NB: It might be the building is closed on some holidays.
Inside, you'll find stairs leading to the official Amsterdam Ordnance Datum-marker. This ordnance datum is the referral point for all constructions of any kind in the Netherlands, and in a lot of other neighbouring countries. This standard (Normal Amsterdams Peil - N.A.P.)) was introduced 200 years ago, on February 18th, 1818.
The marker is a bronze knob, mounted on a concrete pillar, representing the exact zero level.
The former visitor center, where the marker is located, is closed permanently. For claiming this cache it is NOT necessary to go into the visitor center. The marker can be seen from behind the fence; THE ANSWERS ARE ON ENTRANCE LEVEL!
For the cache:
*Email me the name AND depth of the "lowest" sponsor (on the wall near the stairs).

Bovenstaande coordinaten zijn van een van de ingangen van een Amsterdams gebouw met een publieke functie.
Het gebouw is open van 07.00 -23.30u. Op sommige feestdagen kan het gebouw gesloten zijn. Op die dagen kan er NIET gelogd worden omdat dan de vereiste foto ontbreekt.
Enkele meters na deze ingang vind je een trap, die leidt naar het officiële N.A.P.-meetpunt.
Op 18 februari 2018 was het 200 jaar geleden dat het Normaal Amsterdams Peil de nationale hoogtestandaard werd voor heel Nederland. Dit werd voorgeschreven bij Koninklijk Besluit van 18 februari 1818.
In 1953 werd de hoogte van het NAP op de Dam vastgelegd door de halfbolvormige kop van een bronzen bout op een 22 m lange heipaal. Deze bout bevindt zich op 90 cm. onder het plaveisel. Het merk moest dienen als referentie voor toekomstige landelijke nauwkeurigheidsmetingen. De locatie, vlak voor het Koninklijk Paleis (N52 22. 397, E4 53.530), wordt gemarkeerd door een ronde natuurstenen plaat met de inscriptie ‘NP XXX’.
Het voormalig NAP-bezoekerscentrum is helaas gesloten. Voor de cache is het NIET nodig om het bezoekerscentrum te betreden. Je kunt het meetpunt ook van buiten de hekken zien; het antwoord op de vragen staat op de muur bij de trap.
Om de cache te loggen:
*Email de naam EN de diepte van de laagstgelegen sponsor (op de muur bij de trap).
Zorg dat je email het antwoord geeft op BEIDE onderdelen van de vraag. Zo niet, dan zal je log zonder waarschuwing worden verwijderd! Als de antwoorden fout zijn ook.
*Upload naar deze cachepagina een foto van je GPS met het meetpunt. Geen bronzen plaat, geen found! Zie het voorbeeld op deze cachepagina. Veel plezier!
NB:
*Graag de antwoorden TEGELIJK met je log sturen (maar natuurlijk niet in je log zetten).
*ELK LOGGEND TEAM MOET ZIJN EIGEN ANTWOORDEN STUREN! Dus niet voor meerdere teams antwoorden inzenden. Het is niet genoeg als je de andere loggers in je log noemt.
*Als het gebouw is gesloten kan NIET worden gelogd! Logs voldoen dan immers niet aan de logvoorwaarden.
Een 'find' voor een virtual cache telt alleen als de vragen goed en compleet worden beantwoord. Incomplete of foute antwoorden geven betekent dus echt het verwijderen van de log, waar je ook vandaan komt. Correspondentie wordt niet gevoerd.

Am 18. Februar 1818, vor 200 Jahren, wurde der Amsterdamer Pegel zum nationalen Höhenstandard für die gesamten Niederlande.
Das NAP-Besucherzentrum ist heut zu Tage leider geschlossen. Für den Cache ist es aber NICHT notwendig dass zu betreten. Sie können den Messpunkt auch außerhalb der Zäune sehen, DIE ANTWORTE AUF DIE FRAGEN IST AUSSERHALB DER AUSSTELLUNG.
Für den Cache:
*Senden Sie den Namen UND die Tiefe des niedrigsten Sponsors (am Wand zu finden) per E-Mail oder Bericht.
*Bitte senden Sie die Antworten gleichzeitig mit Ihrem Protokoll (aber natürlich nicht in Ihrem Protokoll).
