A great walk for all the family, taking you to a beautiful spot. A must for those contemplating attacking 'Fireplace'.
The walk in will take you about half an hour through beautiful lands that used to be a farm, full of kangaroos, wallabies, emus, echidnas, rabbits, and many many birds. The way is steep at times, but all reasonably fit families will be able to achieve this with only a little whingeing from the littlies. No pushchairs.The cache is hidden in a natural clearing beneath one of the district's most impressive landmarks. It consists of a clear bottle with a blue plastic lid. The usual bits and pieces are inside. I'd call this a smallish regular-sized cache, so no large swap items, please.For those who decide to go on to 'Fireplace', please take a close look at the terrain that confronts you, and the difficulties it includes. Make sure you are appropriately dressed and that you have all the suggested items. Do not procede unless you sure you are fit enough. Make sure you have enough water.
