LOCATED IN PINE HILLS NATURE PARK
THIS WAS A REGULAR CACHE UNTIL IT RECENTLY WAS REMOVED-POSSIBALY BY THE DNR. WE ENJOYED THIS AREA WHEN WE SEARCHED OUT THE ORIGINAL PLACING AND HATED TO SEE IT GONE FROM THE CACHE PAGES SO WE HAVE MADE THIS A VIRTUAL CACHE TO LOG THIS CACHE YOU MUST TAKE A PICTURE OF YOURSELF OR YOUR GPS AT THE SIGN THAT IS AT THE BASE. NOW FOR SOME INFO FROM THE ORIGINAL CACHE FROM ED& TRIXIEPine Hills, Indiana's first dedicated nature preserve, is two miles north of Shades State Park on SR 234. This is an absolutely beautiful park with some of the most unique rock formations in the state. As you enter the park, please register and pick up the trail guide found in the registration box. You can't picnic here but Deers Mill is just down the road and Shades is close by. We've hiked here several times and never ceased to be amazed at its beauty, no matter what time of year. Go after this cache, you won't be sorry...and bring your camera. Happy hunting,
