Harold's Four Ponds Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

MadMin: I attempted to contact the owner of Harold's Four Ponds to find out about the status of this cache on October 15, 2008. I have received no response from the owner on the cache page or via email. Because of that I'm afraid I have to archive this cache.

I will be more than happy to review this cache again and (hopefully) reinstate it once you have corrected any issues with the cache. please contact me via ma.reviewer@gmail.com to do so.

Please note that unarchiving a cache page places it through the same review process as a newly proposed cache, using the cache placement guidelines currently in effect.

Geocache Description:

This is an easy family-friendly multicache. If you have avoided multi's before, give this one a try!

This multi-cache will take you along the shores of four beautiful ponds in Harold Parker State Forest: Field Pond, Brackett Pond, Collins Pond, and Delano Pond. The ponds are all relatively close together. You can park at one central location and find all the stages without re-parking. There are three stages (one at each pond), with the third one having the coordinates to the final cache. Each stage contains the coordinates to the next stage. The coordinates are in a small plastic centrifuge tube with a red cap under a small rock at the base of a tree. To make it easier I marked each tree with a piece of cloth tape at eye level. All are within a few feet of trails that follow the shoreline of the ponds. No need to bushwack at any point! The actual cache is an easily visible ammo box. Take a photo of yourself with the disposable camera and I will post them later. This is a popular area with hikers and fishermen, so be “stealthy”!
