Webcam cache in Penzance, Cornwall, UK
This cache involves the capturing of an image of yourself from 2 webcams in Penzance. Sited on the Cliff Hotel overlooking Mounts Bay, One webcam shows part of the railway station and St Michaels Mount. The second shows the main road into Penzance town centre.To log this cache your must obtain two pictures of yourself with your GPS, One from each camera. I suggest standing by the wall on the other side of the road opposite the hotel for webcam 1, And by the palm trees or closer in webcam 2. In both pictures you must be holding your GPS up in the air.
Obviously the help of someone at home on a PC will be required unless you have some expensive setup to receive the internet on the move.
To capture the image requires using the "Printscreen" button on the keyboard, then by pasting the image into a photo editing programme your image can be saved. Please when cropping your final image, ensure you include the date and time at the top of the picture.
The pictures on the webcam refresh every 10 seconds. The webcam page can be found at (visit link)
PLEASE NOTE> The webcams are down at the moment> I am awaiting a response from the hotel owners as to when they will be up and running again. As such I will accept self taken photos of yourselves taken at the appropriate spots.
