Geocache Description:

The cache is hidden just a short way from a location where you can park a car: park your vehicle at the small gravel parking lot by Silver Lake at the corner of Main and Church Street in Middle Sackville. It will be a short walk to find it from there. Geocachers are encouraged to participate in a longer walk once they find the cache and pick up a map of the path of the original walk.

This geocache was created as a performance art event with the Symposium of Art in October 2004. The cache was created as part of a 6.5 km public participation "guided" walk addressing history of the area intermingled with stories of fictional persons and events. The cache consists of the stories told and an "artifact" from the various points of interest along the path of the walk.

This is a thematic cache and geocachers are encouraged to exchange "treasures" pertaining to history and walking. The cache is in an army green ammo box.

The following items were part of the cache when it was placed:
- log book in baggie with 2 pencils
- disposible camera in baggie so geocachers can take a picture of themselves with the cache (return the camera to the cache)
- 6 pencils
- 12 "Ministry of Walking" buttons
- info brochures about the walk (with map) and about the Flat Earth Society
- 16 packets of history (in baggies): stories and artifacts from each point of interest along the way created during the original walk.
