Not far from a road, but you will have to climb over a fence. Watch
out for the cacti if you are wearing sandals.
In August of 1989 I hitchhiked through this area. Rides had been
scarce that day and I had spent most of it walking. When I got
dropped off at the crossroads after a very short ride (albeit with
a very pleasant woman in a Mercedes), I was too hot, tired and
discouraged to keep walking. I headed for a likely looking place
for a rest and found what I thought was a nice little oasis in the
middle of not much. I promptly flopped down in the shade and took a
nap. I drive by this spot occasionally now and I have always
thought it a good spot for a cache. You probably have to be hot,
tired and discouraged in order to fully appreciate the charms of
this place, but I hope you enjoy it even if you are just driving
by. It looks like ranchers may frequent this place, so do your best
to keep the cache camouflaged. Happy Caching!Dog
