short walk from car, free camp ground
The first home owner on the lake sold this Property to the township for one dollar; with the condition that it would never be sold and three public campsites would be developed. The Cache takes its name from a large log cabin on the far side of the lake. The road leading to the houses is private, but from the campground you can see the red flag of the lonesome loon. The cache is round, deep, and dry. It contains many red ribbions for each seeker to tie on their pack. The ribbions share the color of the flag accross the lake. The campground is free and unmarked, but please pack out some trash; visitors are always leaving things behind :( There is a log and pen at this site
