Pinster56: It seems to be gone and I am never out that way to add a new container, so I am archiving.

The cache is near the shores of Pomps Pond, a wildlife and recreational area in Andover. The first half of the walk is somewhat challenging, as the trails are faint, but you should have no problem.
Accessibility to the cache area is limited. Do not rely on the topo map as your guide since beavers have "updated" the terrain! The only sure way to get there is to park in Ballardvale (off of Andover St.). Drive behind the commercial buildings on the EAST side of the Shawsheen River (behind the lot where canoe-ers put in). At the end, look for the building called A.K. Thomas and park there, near the five green poles. This is an unmarked entrance to the conservation area. Parking coordinates are N42.37.764 W071.09.373.When you walk towards the marsh, the trail splits both ways around it. Bear LEFT on the fainter trail. You will soon arrive at a newly built wooden footbridge across the water which you need to cross. Continue following faint trails avoiding water and eventually the trail widens. Then the rest of the way is easy and you will be rewarded with nice views of the marsh.
