THE ABOVE COORDS ARE FOR PARKING after finding the 6
color stages.
With thanks to Doombot, a Florida cacher, who we “borrowed” this
idea from, Jackson’s Colors of the Rainbow cache is a series of 6
colorful mini stages that will take you on a short tour of Jackson.
After finding all 6 of the colors you will need to go to an
additional site to place the #s in the correct order to locate the
final stage along with its “Pot of Gold”.
The 6 color stages are small plastic cylinders, which will
require varying degrees of stealthiness to find and extract. There
is a single number on the lid of each stage which you will need to
retain.
- BLUE – wild blue
yonder
N 42 15.847 W 084 27.482
- GREEN – bring some bread to
feed the ducks, but you may not want to stay long
N 42 16.940 W 084 24.727
- GREY – near Grand River
Market, buy some fish
N 42 14.930 W 084 24.359
- ORANGE – school pride, best
to search for this one on weekends or evenings
N 42 15.041 W 084 25.064
- RED – lots of things are
read here
N 42 14.864 W 084 24.648
- YELLOW – neighborhood park
like “butta”
N 42 13.430 W 084 25.352
In order to find the Rainbow’s pot of gold you will need to
collect the 6 #s located on the lids of the 6 color stages. After
doing this, go to the SW Little League Complex on the N side of the
Cascades Falls. There are several parking areas. One of them has
been listed for you at the top of the page.
STARTING with the Elmer Berol field, proceed COUNTERCLOCKWISE
around the fields matching the dugout colors with the stage colors
and placing the numbers that you found into the missing spaces of N
42 13._ _ _ W 084 26._ _ _ in the corresponding order. The final
container is a large plastic jug filled with multi-colored goodies,
and a First Finders’ prize. Enjoy the searches and tour of
Jackson.
PLEASE be sure to rehide everything as you found it, or
better. THANKS.
Also, if you have time, our Cascades Lagoon cache is nearby.
PLEASE NOTE: As of April 28, 2007 the Grey Stage is no longer
similar to the other stages.
