The Haines Simcoe County Forest is 104 acres mixed bush and new growth pine. Several years ago the county thinned the bush out and there is still plenty of evidence of this left today.
Since there are no other caches in the area anymore (Canadian Geoquilt Project was stolen) I wanted to give cachers and excuse to come and see the northern part of Simcoe County.
The area is out of the way and very quiet except when the trains go by or when something is going on at Circle Square Ranch. OK so the area really isn’t that quiet most of the time, but if you do the cache at the right time then it will be almost eerily quiet Walk carefully, there is plenty of wildlife in the area that you just might get to see. Deer, Wild Turkey, and Grosse are just a few of the animals that can be found here.
The cache is in a spray painted green Lock'n'Lock container.
