Ten wells is a series of caches placed to introduce you to some of the points of interest in and around the Exmouth area. After Exmouth, Ten Wells takes you progressively along the coast to various locations close to camping or day use areas such as the Milyering Center or Turquoise Bay. This cache is suitable for all types of vehicles – just go easy.
Years ago, this was an important well for Yardie Station, though now it is not used. The immediate area is now used for launching boats, and fishing. You can also arrange a glass bottomed boat tour from here. If you do, don’t forget to take your snorkeling gear, wear your bathers and take a towel.
Did you notice the osprey nest on top of the steel pipe at the wellhead? And also the myriads of smaller birds that nest in the bottom of the main nest.
