Geocache Description:

Traditional cache in a standard ammo box located in a wooded area just off from a public park soccer field.

This is our first cache, located in a little known about and even less used county park. The park is actually new and very nice, located in the shadow of Spencer Mountain in Gaston County. For those traveling north or south on I-85 it is a quick stop, only about two miles off of the interstate.Cache is a standard ammo box, loaded with a variety of objects including: GeoCoin, two dollar bill, nalgene type water bottle, fake Rolex watch, keychains, Carolina Panthers stickers, Fleetwood Mac CD, southern humor book, toy cars, sleeve of new golf balls, mardi-gras beads, and a number of other items that escape me now. Please also sign and date the log book.Cache is not too far into the woods from one of the parking lots. Be discreet when entering the woods. Though the park does not get much use there are still the occasional soccer games, walkers, and a few tresspassing dirt bikers. Please replace and hide it carefully to prevent unintended finds.
