Geocache Description:

One of a growing number of caches located on 35 miles of the Anne Springs Close Greenway in Fort Mill, SC, this cache is in an area within a stones throw of my son's school.

The ASC Greenway is a gift to the people of the region from the children of Anne Springs Close and the late Bill Close (of Springs Industries). Throughout the Greenway, you will find facilities to make your visit a memorable and pleasant one. The modest day use fees help them offset a portion of the cost of operating and maintaining these facilities. Park in the rear parking lot of the recreation complex. Go all the way to the back-most softball field and there you'll find the a visitors kiosk. Be sure to pay your $2.00 per person hiking fee at the the trail head information kiosks ($3.00 per person for bikers). There you can also pick up a map of the ASC Greenway. The cache is a standard green ammo box with yellow oval "GEO" decals on each side and is located 0.75 miles from the trailhead. When we first placed the cache, it contained several neo-pets, a plastic baseball, yu-gi-oh cards, and several other items that BJ thought fellow geocacher's might enjoy. There is a special laminated "First Find" certificate in the cache for the first person to find our cache. Please be sure to close the ammo box tightly to keep the contents fresh for other geocachers. Please take the time to jot us a note in the logbook too. Enjoy our first cache!
