The Swamp Brook shoots through a “V” like crevice in the rocks next to a sheltering rock overhang – hence the name Shelter Falls. There are other smaller falls upstream.
Parking Turnout Coordinates: N41 48.739 W072 17.206Shelter Falls sign is across the street (blue with gold letters). Trail Head starts at this sign.Trail terrain to the initial falls is fairly easy with some roots, but to find the cache you’ll hike more difficult terrain. Watch footing as it will be slippery when wet or icy.Cache is a Lock N Lock container with the usual cache items.Some GPS bounce in area, but we know Geocachers know where to look.Cache is NOT, repeat NOT, in the stone wall. Difficulty in the find is harder if hint is not used.
