We were fortunate to be caching in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia during their 2nd Geocaching Picnic. This group put together an outstanding event with great door prizes, one of which was a hurricane preparation cache. This cache is stocked with all sorts of essentials for surviving the aftermath of a hurricane. Their event was held on the anniversary of Hurricane Isabel which caused a great deal of havoc in the area. We thought we would honor the tradition by placing this cache in an area that still shows much of the devastation Hurricane Fran left in the Triangle area. The cache is not difficult, but like all hurricanes, Fran left many cache rich areas. Good luck, and thanks to the Hampton Roads Geocaching Group for this outstanding cache container.
