Geocache Description:

This cache is intended to get folks from Austin down here for the music, bike riding, fishing and caching.

There have been several folks that helped get this cache in place. Mrs. Captain Picard, Moosiegirl and the Outlaw provided most of the cache fodder and the internal container, but we never made it out to place the cache while they were down. On my next trip, I actually made the hike from the boat with Jennifer, Leapchen, and Road Glider and they helped me place the cache.

This cache can be had a couple ways. The easiest is to pay the $10 and take the jetty boat across and take a short walk up the beach. The less easy way is to park your own water craft in Lydia Ann Channel and take the less easy, but doable, half mile hike through the grass.

One of the very first geocaches I ever found was Channelview Cache by Crowbar Bros at this location. It was a vacation cache, but it still lasted quite awhile before it was finally archived. This cache owes its choice of location largely to the previous cache.

The Cache is a partially buried orange five-gallon bucket. Please remove only the lid and don't pull the bucket out! And of course, there is the ever-important FTF, which I will post as soon as I get a picture of it!
