Team Bam Bam: Obviously there is a problem with this cache. It has probably exhausted its usefullness anyway. It was a nice, little puzzle cache with a bit of local history but I'm going to shut it down.

Geocache Description:

A short offset / puzzel located in a small town park very near the site of the old Ford plant in Mahwah (now the Crossroads / Sharp). Short walk, plenty of parking. Park may be loaded with muggles depending on the events at the park.

This is a small park and the walk to the cache should be very easy. Would be a good lunchtime cache.

1. # of water fountains in the park = (A)
2. Go to the fire engine playground. The side of the fire truck has a faded engine # on it. This number less 1 = (B)
3. At the entrance to the park is a green sign. Part of the sign reads 'No Dogs' the ORD# is 48_. The blank # is (C)
4. How many baseball fields are in this park (D)
5. Sit at the wheel of the fire engine. The is a guage right in front of you with a number on it. Add the 2 digits of the number together to get (E)
6. The baseball field closest to the playground is labled feild # _. The field number is (F)

The site of the Mahwah Ford plant is now the site of the Crossroads & Sharp but at one time it was Ford's largest facility in North America. It was open from 1955-1980 and at it's peak produced 1000 cars a day. Models manufactured in Mahwah were: Edsel, Mustang, LTD, Galaxy, Granada, Fairmount, Monarch, Zephyr, & F-Series truck.

The aftershocks of the plant's existence continue to be felt locally. Just ask the residents of Ringwood, N.J. which was removed from the list of Superfund sites but continues to turn up evidence to the contrary.
