4X4 only minimum 2 vehicles - lots of fun in the sand
This is an offset cache. It is rated by geo as 3/5 but we have standardised for KSA at 2/3. This trip is lots of fun and you should plan at least a picnic - an overnight would not be a problem.
There are 3 routes to this cache - the "sandy" route which we took (airdown is not required unless you get stuck and this always threatens).
The "River" route which also involves sand driving and the "mountain" route - sorry but you do not escape. All routes require sand driving so come properly equiped. Bring the kids and a picnic and have fun. As you can see from the pictures you can drive to the offsrt give or take 35m - the challenge is getting both to here and then across the sands to Alpha itself (less than 2k) once there what is the route out?
We had no difficulty laying the cache but found the descent a little more challenging than we expected - make sure you have proper footwear.
