06/26/2025 updated the cache page. Found along a well maintained trail. The trail can be slippery if wet.
Cache is found in the Pauline Anderson Forest at Oxbow Regional Park. If you park at the parking coordinates, it is apx 300' up the trail. Due to the tall Ancient Forest, the GPS reception may be iffy. I averaged several different readings to provide the coordinates. I updated the coordinates using my cell phone on 06/26/2025. I have also added pictures that should help. Oxbow Regional Park has a $5.00 per car entrance fee, or use your Metro annual pass. Park gates are open daily from 6:30 am to legal sunset, or posted hours. Oxbow is a 1,200 acre natural park located within the wild and scenic Sandy River Gorge. NO PETS are allowed in the park due to the wildlife. I saw several deer on a recent Sunday afternoon. All plants and wildlife are protected. PLEASE DO NOT BUSHWACK INTO THIS CACHE! Stay on the established trail, there is no need to leave it! The cache can be reached from the trail. If you are not on an established trail, you are not in the correct place. Replace the cache container just where you found it, making sure it is completely covered. There is a large down tree along the trail. Look for the cache where another tree has fallen across the trail and has now been cut out for the trail. The container is under this cut out tree. GPS reception is spotty and cell service is not available. I have spent many afternoons fishing, swimming, camping and picnicking at Oxbow. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
