As the more observant of you may have noticed this cache is placed
in Glen Clova by Team Clova. The 5th member of our team is also
called Clova. This is therefore our cache of namesakes!
Loch Brandy is one of a pair of Corrie Lochs in the hills high
above Glen Clova (the other one being Loch Wharral). The walk up
here is a very popular one with visitors to the glen.
The path to Loch Brandy starts at the back of the Glen Clova
Hotel car park and follows the hill steeply upwards. The path is
mostly well defined although requiring maintenance. Large sections
of the path are uneven and rocky whilst other parts can resemble
marshland after heavy rain therefore suitable walking boots should
be worn.
Please ensure you take all suitable precautions for a day on the
hills as the weather can change rapidly even at the moderate height
of this cache.
Parking and public toilets can be found at N56 50.636 W003
06.325 although customers of the Glen Clova Hotel may use their car
park.
The cache is a black painted ammo box containing various swaps
and plenty of pencils !!! (OK Snaik!)
Enjoy the walk!
