Situated in Coed y Garth - a Woodland Trust wood
There are a number of footpaths leading to these woods, but parking is quite difficult, as the lanes are narrow. I have to quote from the Woodland Trust management plan for these woods, which says "NO" in answer to the question "Definitely worth a visit?" !!! But we disagree: they are very nice old woods, and the OS map shows footbridges and stepping stones and a waterfall (though we didn't see these on our visit). There is one map at the North Eastern entrance, which shows you can do a circular walk to see the sights. There are good paths through the woods, with wooden walkways where the ground is wet, but the actual path was muddy in places, so wear appropriate shoes! We had quite a lot of trouble getting GPS readings because of the tree cover, despite using two GPS. So you will probably need the clue . . . which will also explain the name of this site. The cache is in a green camouflaged plastic box.
