Chaplin (South Chaplin), CTA section of the Natchaug River with a series of small falls and cascades. Here the water has carved out some fantastic pools. The largest being named Diana's pool.
This is a very popular location for fishing or hanging out by the water on hot days. Swimming is not officially allowed, but people do swim here.Trail Head DirectionsFrom the intersection of CT Route 6 and CT Route 198 in Chaplin, head north on Route 198 for .4 miles. Turn right onto the "Dead End" street, just before the bridge over the Natchaug river. The parking area is on the left.As always this is being logged as a subscriber only cache for the first few weeks to encourage others to contribute to Groundspeak so the services can continue to improve.
