Formally KTB XVIII.
I have renamed this cache due to the fact that the original 17 caches in this series have been archived by Geocaching.com due to current political pressures by the State of SC concerning Geocaching in cemetaries. This cache was the 18th in a series of caches that took cachers to interesting cemetaries. I found 12 of them and none were disrespectful to the cemetaries and none required a cacher to disturb or even touch a marker. Nevertheless, without getting into the politics of Geocaching, I have decided to rename this cache. Nothing else has changed, just the name.
This often over looked cemetery has been in existence since at least the 1920s. Most people that drive by it everyday have never even noticed it’s here. During the past twenty or thirty years the county used it to bury people who were left in their care and passed away without anyone to claim their remains (including from the facility next door and the County Rest Home which was in the large white house in the neighboring park.) This practice has been stopped due to the cost associated with it and now I believe such corpses are cremated. There are many unmarked and forgotten gravesites in this small cemetery.
The coordinates will put you in the cemetery. To find the cache you will need to examine the tombstones and find the one that gives you an unmistakable hint. When you find that particular marker you will be within feet of the cache, just look around for it. Please show the cemetery all due respect and care while searching for the cache. YOU WILL NOT NEED TO DISTURB, MOVE OR EVEN TOUCH ANY MARKER TO FIND THIS CACHE.
I have tried to incorporate an unique concept in this cache placement. If you are successful in discovering it, please do not give it away or even hint towards it in your on line logs – let everyone experience it on their own
