Dræng - Nightflyer Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Makuta Teridax: While the cache itself seems to be OK, the trail is lacking many reflexes. The owner's don't seem to be active any more, so this cache listing is now archived.

Geocache Description:

A night cache in challenging terrain.

A classic night cache. Refer to the mother of all Night caches for how to do these things. ( visit link)

The trail:
Starts close to Skullerud t-bane. About 1 km walk on good forest road. Reflectors are made from ordinary round safety reflectors cut into quartersections
This cache can be combined with Hysse #4. A good starting point for Hysse #4 at night hunt has been marked with 2 reflectors.
The cache location is marked with 3 reflectors, the container can be found within a few meters of this mark.
Our trail continues for 400 meters, but dead ends with a reflector held in place by a tack with a large white head.
From this place you will have to bush 150 - 200 meters north in relatively easy terrain before you hit a good forest road.
There is a trail parralell to the exit track, you could also try and follow that if you know where it is. ( We couldn't find it )
Otherwise you could retrace the crumbtrail on your GPSr. Either way, the trail is 2km on road, and 2 km off road.

Expect to spend at least 2 hours on this.

Equipment:Map - preferably on GPS. There are many steep places in this area, you don't want to go there if you loose the trail.
Compass - when the going gets slow most GPSr aren't much help in telling which direction you are moving.
Extra lights + spare batteries.

There is a 3 meter deep crevice that the path crosses. Otherwise the terrain is relatively easy. Doolsen brought his youngest son with us when marking the trail - hence the name Dræng :-) Robin age 9 made it through without any help, so did his older sister aged 11. But still this isn't a very kid friendly trail.
