Trade Up - Trade Even - or Don't Trade
This hike has many views of the stream through a canopy of
rhododendron, tulip poplar, hemlock, and oak trees, among
others.
Good workout ! Plan on at least 2hrs one way. Approx 1.3mi hike
from parking area. The turn off from Shelton Mission road is not
marked. Parking at 36 04.238 -82 43.103 Follow the Blue blaze marks
on the trees. The Yellow ones will take you on a very steep ORV
trail to top of Camp Creek Bald.
Trail is very rough with lots of large boulders and a creek
crossings. Pay attention or you'll miss the trail. Markers in
several places are missing. Some good elevation gains near the
falls. At falls go to your right and up. Stay at base of rock wall
until you find the passage up over. Once on top the falls, BE
CAREFUL ! Rocks are very slick. One more creek crossing at top. Due
to GPS readings jumping around in this narrow canyon, I'll give you
a good hint and a spoiler picture.

Take your time and enjoy!
Please do not leave water bottles or insect repellent
bottles in the cache. They leak and damage the contents. Also,
please do not leave any food products or anything that smells like
food (i.e. fruit scented items). Animals will find and destroy the
cache if you do. Thanks.
