Part of a series of caches in areas where I spent my lunch break while working in Burnley!
The cache is located in the little known Forest of Burnley (very small now!) which is surrounded by the trappings of urbania - houses, major roads and industrial parks. Infact, so far removed is it from its surroundings that you could easily imagine you were in a wood crossing a beck in the middle of the Yorkshire Dales!
This may be a tough cache to find! GPS signals in autumn when I laid the cache were weak under the trees. In summer they may be non-existant. The co-ordinates I've posted are my best average. I welcome alternative suggestions.
To compensate a potential long search remember that this is another drive-by cache and after an easy drive-by #1 to this series it's only right that you have to work a bit to find this one!!
The cache is a standard size box - infact the very one that I won in the raffle at the NW Meet (GCKJ23)!
Parking is in a layby off the A679 at N 53 47.011 W 2 17.435 or thereabouts. If you feel hungry then there is usually a grease wagon parked there during the morning and early afternoon!
Have fun!
