We start at Munchkinland playground and find the coordinates to the cache.
"Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore!"Yes, there really is a Munchkinland in Kansas. This Munchkinland was build by a community effort a few years ago. If you have kids to entertain during your geocaching, this is the find for you. Let them play while you walk to the nearby cache. We start right where Dorothy did at the Yellow Brick Road. Facing south, you will see Munchkinland. If you look to the east, there is a wall of fame honoring those who built Munchkinland. Just beyond the wall is a flag pole, check it out. Munchkins have been known to leave messages there. If you find the message, proceed to the cache.The cache is a small Rubbermaid container, painted black. After a Boy Scout Eagle project altered the terrain, the cache has been located to a new and safer spot. (8-29-2005) For an extra credit, this town was the actual home to the "Mayor of Munchkinland" in the movie, the Wizard of Oz. The house is empty now but may be opened as a museum. Drive by and see it at N39 48.855 W097 03.413 on the north side of the road. Happy hunting. And remember, "There's no place like home!" This is an easy walk from the first coordinates to the second, so don't be afraid of this easy multi-cache. The second coordinates now have a backup written on the pole. 5-25-09 After the final cache was muggled again, it is now in a new location. 7-4-2021 New smaller container, too many muggles in larger one.
