Geocache Description:

A regular cache in a pastoral setting.

The Country Mouse has lived in a nice peaceful rural setting for as long as he can remember. As a matter of fact, he never thought his family had ever lived anywhere else. But for his name, Lars Olsen, and a strange craving for lutefisk hot-dish, he would never have believed his ancestry came from anywhere else. But one day he received a visitor. He invited the young mouse in for dinner, and to his surprise the guest, Knute Andersen, had been working on putting together a family tree and had traced his lineage all the way back to a farm in Norway. He announced to the Country Mouse that they were actually kin! (Third cousins, 451 times removed). They shared the meal (although the guest, who had grown up in the city, found it to be rather boring and lacking in seasonings) and decided to take a look at the family tree. Knute would have carried the printed version of his work with him but that would have been several pounds of large paper too heavy for him. He pulled out his Paw Pilot and showed Lars the tree.

Well, after 216 generations, maybe a reunion was in order! But where? Knowing that the cousins down the road would not set foot back in the city, and the city mice would find the country too mundane, they chose another spot.

Here in the Country Mouse cache you will find the N coordinates for the Mouse Party cache. Write them down and save them if you want to find the Mouse Party. The other coordinates will be found in the City Mouse cache.

This cache is on private property, but the owner, A.J. MacArthur, has granted permission for us to locate the cache here. Stop by and say thanks and buy some of the best maple syrup or berries anywhere.
