Geocache Description:

The cache is very close to Ower Point over looking Poole Harbour. It is easy flat ground but a couple of Kilometres from suitable parking, a bike can be used though.

The cache is a standard plastic box which contained when hidden; a book of Robbie Burns poetry, a 1936 one penny piece, a lump of ireon pyrite (fools gold), 2 lifeboat car stickers, a lifeboat pen, a pair of fishing scissors,a small toy car and 2 glass souvenier mugs from Utah beach in Normandy. It provides the perfect chance to visit this often overlooked spot. There are many places to park in and around the forest depending on where you come from, however all are some distance fron the cache. Bridleways run all the way to the cache so a bike is a great way to get there. Once you have found the cache stroll down to the waters edge and dip your toes in the water (the right of way goes all the ways to the waters edge but please respect the privacy of the occupiers of the house and stay on the path).Enjoy the hunt!
