This is the second cache located in Purtis Creek State Park. A
small fee is charged to enter the park. Recommend hiking boots,
long pants and a hiking stick. The terrain is not too difficult,
but there is no marked path for most of the way. You are looking
for an ammo box.
Begin this fun search
Near Campsite Sixty-Four.
Down a grassy road
Is adventure galore.
Among skinny tall oaks
Maybe a rainbow you see.
This points to the lap
Of a wizened old tree.
Years later
The Ranger cleared the forest floor
And the Purtis Creek Cache was no more.
The fire destroyed the wizened old tree
And the rainbow burned into history.
But dogmac restored the Purtis Creek Cache,
So geocachers everywhere can come back.
