rjb43nh: I never knew why that bridge was just sitting there on dry land-maybe it was a 'spare'. I'm also not sure why it was removed as doogie_n_doggy reported-maybe it was in such bad shape it was a hazzard. The area has been completely cleaned up and only the cement bridge supports are left. They also, for some unknown reason, put up a new guard rail which blocks parking for fishermen at this popular spot.
So after 11 years and lots of finds, plus the container being washed away in a big spring flood one year, this cache is gone for good.
