Warning: Keep an close watch on any young children. There are some large cliffs here. The cache is located about 40 feet from a large cliff. No need to go looking around the edge of the cliff to find this geocache.
One of the most spectacular viewpoints close to Bellingham.
Take Chuckanut Drive south from Bellingham / Fairhaven. Before the fire station and just before mile post 16 turn on to Hiline Road.
Follow Hiline Road and it turns into Cleator Road. Follow Cleator Road for just over 3 miles up the hill.
Park at N48 39.312 W122 27.755. There will be a sign for the Lost Lake Overlook here.
Lost Lake: The original overlook is too overgrown to see the lake, so we continued down the trail until we could get a good view of the lake. The hike is a little over .1 miles.
The cache is in a large metal ammo box, and it initially contains:
